Crafting Your ,
Dream
Log Project.
At Canada Wood, we specialise in creating bespoke, high-quality log homes tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. Drawing on generations of traditional craftsmanship and a deep respect for sustainable practices, we offer a comprehensive range of services to bring your dream log home to life.
Bespoke Residential Log Cabin Design & Build:
Inspired by projects like The Windsor, we excel at designing and building stunning residential log cabins that seamlessly blend with their surroundings. Whether you envision a lakeside retreat with a spacious decked terrace to enjoy panoramic views, or a comfortable family home, we can create a design that perfectly captures your vision. We also understand the nuances of planning permission, particularly when replacing existing mobile homes, and can guide you through the process.
Accessible & Adaptable Log Home Solutions:
As showcased in The Cornish Cabin, we are experienced in creating accessible log homes designed for comfortable living for everyone. We can incorporate features like wet rooms and ensure easy wheelchair access throughout. From ramps to other necessary adjustments, we are committed to building homes that cater to diverse needs and promote inclusivity. We also understand the importance of outdoor spaces and can integrate features like raised gardens to enhance your enjoyment of your property.
What Makes Canada Wood Different
Complex Site Solutions & Log Home Delivery:
Don’t let challenging locations deter you from your dream. As demonstrated by the Totnes project, our dedicated and resourceful team is adept at navigating complex site conditions, including narrow lanes and overhead obstructions. We offer comprehensive delivery and re-erection services across Europe, ensuring your pre-crafted log home arrives safely and is assembled efficiently by the same skilled team who built it.
Traditional Scribing & Handcrafted Log Homes:
Rooted in the timeless tradition of full scribing, as seen in The Shropshire, we handcraft log homes that are built to last for generations. Using top-grade Larch or Douglas Fir, personally selected and hand-felled during the winter months for optimal quality, we create homes with a lifespan of 200 years or more. We offer a variety of roofing options, including shingle, turf, or the popular slate, allowing you to personalize the aesthetic of your home.
Spacious & Customisable Interiors:
Our log homes are designed with spacious interiors that can be fully customised to your personal specifications. Whether you desire the authentic feel of standard internal log walls or prefer a more broken-up layout with subdividing stud walls to lighten the space, we can create an interior that perfectly suits your lifestyle. We offer a range of design options, from rustic and casual to more contemporary styles.
Handcrafted Timber Windows & Doors:
Windows and doors are crucial elements of your log home’s character. At Canada Wood, we have our own in-house joiners who handcraft all windows and doors from a selection of high-quality timbers. This allows for complete control over colour, style, and size, ensuring that these features perfectly enhance the appearance and functionality of your home.
Open Plan Living & Mezzanine Designs:
Inspired by projects like The Elms, we can create stunning open-plan living spaces that are perfect for entertaining and fostering a sociable atmosphere. We also have expertise in designing homes with upper mezzanines, creating light and airy master suites with features like built-in wardrobes and balconies that offer breathtaking views.
