Our site is also within walking distance of Meeth Quarry nature reserve yet another one of Devon’s hidden gems.
The Bull and Dragon, a 15th century thatched pub lies on the Tarka Trail close to the quarry just a few miles from Canada Wood, offering a warm welcome and excellent home cooked food, the perfect pit stop for refreshments.
The historical market town of Hatherleigh lies 5 miles south of Canada Wood, and it is home to a welcoming community and houses several pubs offering traditional food and locally sourced ales. There are also cricket and football pitches, tennis courts and several parks.
The very respectable and well-known horse riding stables and carriage driving centre Easter Hall park is situated only 1 mile away, offering yet another opportunity to engage in the outdoor countryside activities.
